Chris Angel in Las Vegas - At this point in the show he has opened the opportunity for audience members to take photos...I was there with my camera set for rapid fire as he vanished in a puff of smoke.  He thanked us and encouraged a donation to the Childrens Charity he supports on our way out.  t  h   e    n ......POOF!   It was a Classic exit and vanishing trick!  I was completely blown away and I was only 30 feet away with a rapid fire camera!  What a class act and with such a 'old-school' wizard move to end it....this will be done in October 2017.  28 hours

2 things about Sinopia.....First of all the 1st version pictured on the left was done on a dry board - that means it had a coating of Calcium Carbonate on top of it because a buon fresco NEVER seems to stop putting out this powder (and dulling the appearance).  So I wiped it down (with distilled water)  and was left with a very feint image, which was actually kind of good.

Second of all....I like doing the sinopia method over the cartoon method because it gives a 'practice' session before laying the pigment down on the intonaco layer.   I pulled this newer sinopia into Photoshop to practice the bright and dark areas.  The digital re-work is shown above.

I used the cartoon transfer method on Fresco # 1 and #2.  That was kind of messy and hard to follow.  The sinopia method allows more freedom to paint, and it will force me to use a thinner coat on the intonaco layer.
